Advantage was an existing system built in ASP which was suffering from major performance problems. Soanar hired us to port the system’s code over to PHP5, refactor the code so as to improve system performance, and to implement some new features. In doing so we managed to reduce one page’s load time from 100+ seconds to around 10 seconds, and added a number of new and useful features.
In a nut shell, the system was built to deliver information to Soanar’s clients about the supply chains that Soanar was managing for them.
The system accessed an Informix database for business information, and used an SQL Server database to store user information such as login credentials and user metadata.
